Dr. Daina is so great and professional. Very Thorough! I'm so glad I chose this Health Care Service for my primary when I moved here from Vermont. She's so kind and caring to her patients. The staff is also always very professional and helpful. I'm very happy that I chose Coastal Carolina Internal Medicine PA!

I have reviewed this medical practice several times and I have nothing to change. I just like being treated by Dr. J Ros. He has great ‘bedside’ manner with office visits. He knows how to treat any problem I have brought to him. He never hesitates to refer me to a specialist if he feels I would benefit more. He is very reassuring and I leave there feeling someone does care!

As always Dr Ros and his staff saw me and accurately treated me to my great relief. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who has medical needs and would like to have them treated quickly and accurately. My recent visit and as always I found the staff professional and courteous. They pinpointed my problem and gave correct recommendations. I would highly recommend this office to anyone with medical needs.

I do not need healthcare often but when I do, I can always get an appointment within 24 yours. My care is always good and thorough, I always get a call back if I leave a message, and the staff is very friendly. After several years as a patient here, I am very grateful for this practice.

I can't say enough about this practice other than they are one of the most professional, knowledgeable and caring medical offices that I have ever dealt with. I give the highest praise to my PA, Dana Barber who has treated me for several years, always patient, and thorough. Her nurses Winfield and Porsha are absolutely wonderful.

Frequently Asked Questions
We make scheduling appointments simple and convenient. You can call our office or request an appointment online to find a time that works for you.
When you come in, please bring a list of current medications, insurance information, and relevant medical records. Communicate openly with your provider to ensure you receive the best care. Share your health history, any symptoms, and your personal health goals. We offer guidance and support throughout your health journey. We’ll create a care plan tailored to your unique needs, helping you achieve optimal feminine health and well-being.
We focus on your overall health and well-being during your annual physical exam. Expect a thorough evaluation that includes a review of your medical history, a physical examination, and discussions about any concerns you’d like to bring up. We may also conduct routine tests, such as blood testing, to monitor your health.
If you have any questions, we encourage you to ask them at any point in the process.
According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the frequency of Pap smears depends on age and other pressing medical factors.
- Ages 21 to 29: Every 3 Years
- Ages 30 to 65: Every 5 years paired with an HPV test
- Ages 65+: You can stop having cervical cancer screening if you have never had abnormal cervical cells or cervical cancer, alongside two or three negative screenings in a row.
You may need more frequent testing if you have a history with the following:
- Cervical cancer
- HIV/AIDS
- Cervix irregularities
- Organ transplants
If your Pap smear results show any abnormalities, we will explain the findings in detail and discuss the next steps with you. Depending on the results, we may recommend additional testing, such as a colposcopy, to further examine your cervical cells. Know that abnormal results do not always mean cancer; they often indicate minor changes that can be monitored or treated to prevent any further issues.
When providers help you choose the right contraceptive method, they take into account your health, lifestyle, and future family planning goals. During your consultation, we will discuss various options, including birth control pills, IUDs, implants, and other methods. We’ll review the benefits and potential side effects of each option.
